Maritime operations · technology · intelligence

Operational knowledge, captured at source.

Omnisphere is building a maritime operational intelligence platform. CSAI, its first module, guides tanker cargo surveys in the field, keeps vessel, terminal and office on one record, and turns every completed operation into verified data.

Intelligence
A record that compounds with every operation

Omnisphere

A maritime company built around the value of reliable operations.

Every tanker cargo operation produces thousands of data points: measurements, timings, vessel and terminal conditions, equipment status, documents, weather, delays, photographs, observations and decisions.

Most of it never survives the operation. It sits in spreadsheets, handwritten notes, emails and PDF reports, and its value ends the moment the report is filed.

Omnisphere exists to change what happens to that information — combining practical operational understanding with digital workflows and data-led thinking to support safer execution, clearer communication and better-informed decisions.

Our direction

A connected maritime operating environment where field expertise, office oversight and verified operational data work together.

What we do

Three connected capabilities.

Omnisphere connects operational work today with the intelligence needed for tomorrow.

Maritime operations

Structured support for cargo operations, inspections and operational processes where consistent evidence and professional execution matter.

Technology platforms

Digital tools that bring guidance, validation, records and collaboration into the work—not after it has finished.

Operational intelligence

Verified data and operational experience transformed into a growing basis for analytics, benchmarking and better decisions.

The opportunity

A multi-billion-dollar surveying market resting on a limited pool of experienced surveyors.

Meanwhile, thousands of experienced boarding agents already attend tanker calls worldwide. They hold the relationships, the port access and the operational judgement — what they lack is a structured digital method for performing cargo quantity surveys consistently.

The constraint
Capacity is people-boundDemand for petroleum cargo surveys is not matched by the number of qualified surveyors available to meet it.
The underused asset
Boarding agents already on boardEstablished networks and terminal access exist today, without standardised procedures or decision support behind them.
The CSAI model
Augment, don't replaceTrained agents work under guided workflows and live office supervision; senior surveyors review measurements, intervene remotely and approve final reports.

CSAI · Cargo Survey Artificial Intelligence

Most survey software assumes you are already a surveyor. CSAI doesn't.

The platform guides the operator through every stage of the survey, validating as it goes, flagging inconsistencies and offering contextual guidance drawn from recognised industry practice. The order below is the order of the work.

Boarding and safety

Guided vessel boarding with safety verification recorded before work begins.

Document collection

OCR-assisted capture and digitisation of cargo documents at the point of handover.

Tank measurements

Ullages, temperatures and water dips entered against the vessel's own tank tables.

Calculations

ASTM/API quantity calculations plus tank and pipeline calculators, checked in the workflow.

Statement of Facts

Digital SOF with automatic timestamps, GPS validation and a complete audit trail.

Report and approval

Automatic report generation, quality scoring and sign-off by an experienced surveyor.

Platform capabilities

One environment for the field, the office and the record.

Guidance, validation, evidence and collaboration belong inside the work — not in a review carried out after it has finished.

In the field

  • AI-assisted cargo survey workflows
  • Guided boarding procedures
  • Dynamic procedural guidance and decision support
  • Cargo, tank and pipeline calculators
  • ASTM/API quantity calculations
  • Automated photo and evidence management

Control and assurance

  • Digital Statement of Facts with timestamps and GPS validation
  • Automated validation and consistency checks
  • Survey quality scoring
  • Office dashboard with live operational monitoring
  • Remote expert assistance and collaboration
  • Complete audit trails on every record

Record and analysis

  • OCR-assisted document recognition
  • Vessel, cargo, customer, terminal and operator databases
  • Automatic report generation
  • Statistical dashboards and operational analytics
  • Secure cloud-based operational records
  • AI-assisted procedural recommendations

Why it matters

Every completed operation can improve the next.

01

Consistency

Structured workflows reduce reliance on disconnected notes, memory and informal follow-up.

02

Transparency

Evidence, events and decisions are recorded in context and available for proper review.

03

Quality

Field teams work with timely validation and experienced office support when it is needed.

04

Learning

Validated outcomes become the basis for future guidance, benchmarks and decision support.

Vessel ⇄ terminal · live exchange

The information is rarely missing. It's scattered — and it disappears at shift change.

During loading and discharge, ship and shore exchange everything that matters through radio, phone calls, messaging apps, paper checklists and verbal updates. Everyone can be acting professionally and the record still falls apart. CSAI captures the same information once, at the source, in a form every party can see and rely on.

Today · scattered

VHF / radioPhone callsWhatsApp Paper checklistsEmailManual logsVerbal updates
  • Delays aren't recorded consistently
  • Parties hold different timestamps for the same event
  • Cargo rates aren't visible to everyone in real time
  • Tank changeovers create misunderstandings
  • Context is lost at shift handover
  • SOF entries reconstructed afterwards from scattered notes — a leading cause of laytime and demurrage disputes
  • Ship–shore quantity differences reconciled only after the operation is complete

With CSAI · one timestamped record

  • Hoses connected · line check logged both sidesAgreed
  • Loading commenced · rate confirmedAgreed
  • Tank changeover · shore notified in advanceAgreed
  • Shore figure diverges from vessel experience factorFlagged live
  • Letter of Protest issued to terminalRecorded
  • Shift handover · full context carried forwardAgreed

Line and tank condition checks are logged at the point of exchange. Quantity differences are tracked against historical vessel experience factors while operations are still running, not corrected afterwards. A discrepancy becomes a structured Letter of Protest at the moment it is identified.

Operational intelligence

Cargo surveys are not the objective. They are the data acquisition engine.

Every completed operation becomes structured data that can be analysed across fleets, terminals, ports, cargo grades, operators, charterers and trade routes — the kind of intelligence rarely available today in a searchable form.

Operational performance

How consistently the work is being done, and where training or supervision changes the outcome.

Vessel intelligence

Strategic & commercial value

Conventional software depreciates. This is designed to appreciate.

Business expansion

Enter the surveying market

A scalable AI-assisted operating model lets an organisation build or strengthen its position in petroleum cargo surveying without first hiring a specialist team.

Differentiation

Execution and analysis together

Operational execution, AI guidance, analytics, benchmarking and decision support sit in one platform rather than four disconnected tools.

Scalability

Grow without proportional specialists

Standardised workflows and centralised oversight allow international deployment through existing networks with targeted training.

Data as an asset

Every survey enriches the model

Validated operations improve AI recommendations, benchmarking accuracy and predictive capability. Value increases with use.

Continuous intelligence

Reports deliver value once

Structured operational data keeps delivering — into benchmarking, quality assurance, claims prevention and commercial analysis.

Long-term advantage

A dataset that's hard to replicate

The most valuable asset is not the software but the proprietary operational dataset generated from real-world maritime operations.

Platform expansion

The crude oil module is the foundation, not the product.

Once the AI engine, workflows, cloud infrastructure, validation framework, reporting engine and analytics platform exist, additional sectors reuse the same foundation — adding only their own workflows, calculation models and validation logic.

Long-term vision

Cargo surveys are the beginning — not the destination.

The ambition is a platform where operational execution, artificial intelligence, benchmarking and proprietary operational data converge, moving the industry from reactive reporting toward proactive operational intelligence.
